[Narrative Dissonance] Bone Density Is A Social Construct | With Emma Camp

September 26, 2022

Juliet and Carter are joined by Emma Camp from Reason Magazine. Emma begins by introducing an article from The Atlantic titled, “Separating Sports by Sex Doesn’t Make Sense,” challenging the author’s notion that sexual dimorphism is merely a social construct. They discuss the reasoning behind separating sports by sex, the difference between sex and gender, and the libertarian perspective on the issue. Next, Emma reveals the plight of minors incarcerated by the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, who are kept in cells and away from bathrooms for 22 hours a day, forcing them to urinate and defecate in any available item. Finally, the group discusses Italy’s election of Giorgia Meloni and potential threats to liberty from both the left and the right.

Emma Camp is an Assistant Editor at Reason. Her work has previously appeared in The New York Times, CommonSense, RealClear Policy, and Persuasion.
